TASCOW

Welcome to your training, agent. Today, you will use the Testing Application for Sanitizing Cognitohazardous Online Words (called the TASCOW for short) to practice sanitizing dangerous words found on the internet.

Your Goal

Get your Evaluation Score as high as possible before taking fatal sanity damage (simulated) and having your mind blown.

Test Information

Please read the following carefully to ensure proper operation of the TASCOW.

Requirements

A mouse is strongly suggested for best compliance with software requirements. Using touch is possible, though not fully recommended.

Testing Instructions

1. Words will be chosen at random from a prepared list.

2. You will have a limited number of Guesses to guess the spelling of this word, simulating the mental damage caused by real cognitohazardous words.

3. You solve the Word by guessing its Letters. Correctly identify a Letter in the Word to sanitize it and reveal all uses of the Letter within that Word. Once all Letters in a Word are guessed, the Word is solved.

4. You are provided with a random assortment of Ability Cards, which simulate the tools used to assist sanitizing cognitohazardous words in real life. To play an Ability Card, select one from your hand, and then make a Guess. The Ability on that Ability Card triggers for each instance of that Letter which is found within the Word*. Once an Ability Card is played, it is consumed.

* Some Ability Cards only trigger once within the Word, regardless of how many Letters were found. See the Appendix for more information.

5. Upon solving a Word, you receive the following:

• 10 Evaluation Points, modified by any Abilities which add to or multiply the Word Score.
• 5 Guesses, modified by Abilities played.
• 1 Ability Card, modified by Abilities played.

6. Testing continues until you run out of Guesses. At that point, your mind explodes. (Official policy requires us to remind you that this is only a simulated explosion; no actual mental damage will take place.)

Appendix

These are the Ability Cards currently available in the testing software:

• Ability Draw: Draw additional abilities after solving the current word.
• Guess: Add a Guess after solving the current word.
• Letter Mult: Multiply the Word Score per Letter.
• Letter Plus: Add points per Letter to the Word Score.
• Word Mult: Multiply the Word Score once if the Letter is a correct guess.
• Word Plus: Add to the Word Score once if the Letter is a correct guess.
